A long time ago when I got my first Canon no-zoom camera I liked to snap photos of my bedroom. Maybe I oughta keep up this habit, see how my room & workspace morph over the years... in a mysterious manner too, because I don't have a habit of shifting furniture around.
Anyhow here is my current workspace. A mess; clutter = my 'To-do' list, and reminds me that I have alot of things to finish. Because by getting frustrated seeing the mess and working without elbow space, I strive to clear up (in this case unlisted jewellery) as quickly possible. If neatness prevails long term, I forget what I'm supposed to do lol. How does your workspace/studio look like? If possible I'd love to take a peek!
A book placed on the shelf will be in the same spot 10 years later. The magical shifting of books and additions of shelves and containers are courtesy of my mother really. She hates clutter and migrates my items whenever I'm not home. MAGIC I tell you. Despite it being much spacier and less dusty, I usually can't find my materials/ unfinished artworks and she doesn't know what I'm talking about lol.

Your workspace is cute! Looks like you have lots of neat storage cubbies. I work in a mess, too. I have to have my wips out where I can see them...or else they'll never get done! I only have one pic of my studio: http://is.gd/4N7kP and it's not a good one, because I had just moved in and the mess hadn't caught up with me yet.
ReplyDeleteMy workspace is an utter mess...I really need to get it organized so I can work more efficiently and peacefully lol. clutter gives me a headache! Your space is very nice...i'd love to have shelving like that. I am going to do a post on my workspace soon and I'll post pics :)
ReplyDeleteI simply adore your artwork.

Mine is messy, messy, messy! Not dirty (very clean actually) but just a mess!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a big studio in the house but, no more. Now I have a tiny window where the light is good.
ReplyDeleteYours is positively pristine compared to mine!!!! :0)
ReplyDeleteI don't function well in clutter so I TRY to keep it neat :)

I just posted pictures of my workspace on my blog! Yours is nice and spacious. And in my opinion, clutter is okay if you're a creative genius. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the way your workspace looks. It's so much more organized than mine. My 'workspace' is currently the kitchen table, but I changed all that this weekend. I have a picture of it here: http://jrgoddessdesigns.blogspot.com/2009/10/angel.html
ReplyDeleteIt was a mess! I wish my mom would come to my house and clean up:) But I understand your frustration. My mom used to do the same to me. She's the reason why I can't find my favorite sketchbook. I've been looking for it for about 5 years now...
very very cute! this looks like my workspace too. some days it's neat, those are the days i am working outside of my studio! and when i get in there and start working it has about 2.4 seconds to stay somewhat organized. :) you look a lot more together than i am though!
