Went to the beach yesterday evening and picked up a bunch of sea glass for something I haven't found them useful for just yet. Managed to find my first ever pink one, only one blue and one brown. Unfortunately some of the nice big ones were not thoroughly frosted so back into the sea they go! My knees and thighs are aching like crazy now from too much bending and squatting but I'll be back for more the next time since our seas are full of litter lol.
I just love sea glass! To me it's like a treasure from the sea. I like to see it added to jewelry and sculpture. You have a nice batch to display in a jar for now until inspiration strikes :)
ReplyDeleteLooking at these makes me want to pick one up and rub them. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteSea glass is so beautiful. I like to keep my eye out for it at the beach too, but have never found this much!
ReplyDeleteHow do display yours? I'd like to have a pretty glass jar full of it one day.
Thanks girls! Jessy & Janet- yup I am searching for a nice glass jar to store it in, right now it's just in baggies. There's lots on our beach though most are just young sea glass.
ReplyDeleteI love sea glass! I think part of what makes it so magical to me is that I don't live anywhere near the ocean, so it's a rarity. What a beautiful photo! I hope you find the perfect project for these lovely pieces. :-)
