AYAME TENCHU ARTWORK & A MIGRAINE

I forgot I finished this digital art titled 'Ayame Flowers' a few weeks back around Chinese New Year festivities. It took a while. I drew Ayame because of my Tenchu-clan revival on DeviantArt and saw a Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven playthrough on Youtube. Oh and sad to say I am no longer 'Grandmaster' level... the last time I played to test the xbox, my score level was something like 'Novice' since I forgot all the controls and where the enemies were lol.... didn't finish Tenchu Z either because Rikimaru & Ayame were either absent or not playable.

Back to this art: after experimenting with the background & that glare effect, I went to bed. The next morning I had an occular migraine lol. Not sure if it was the red or the glare that did it, or the MSG in my junk food, or that the afternoon was too bright, or didn't get enough sleep, but I offed the background colour while working on her clothes after that, just in case.

Anyhow the migraine was unusual since I've usually had classic migraines, the kind with the blurred aura vision. This one came with flashes of colour on my left sight, like pixel graininess flashing. They remind me of an lcd screen breaking down or an incompatible graphics card. I recall it was mostly red and green. And with eyes closed the flashes were still there so it wasn't astigmatism. Then the migraine lasted about 5 hours which doesn't sound as bad as my usual 10-12 hour ones. But it was made worse that day because it was Chinese New Year and gah... the lion dances and clashing of cymbals & drums went on for the ENTIRE day downstairs, a few troupes were performing consecutively even. Competing who made the loudest noise perhaps? sheesh. I almost died of sound. Normally it's annoying on a healthy day if you ever hear those you know what I mean, but when you get a migraine the din is magnified ten times and each clash equals to a throb in the brain blood vessel. So sorry for being a whiny wet blanket, they may chase away bad luck and blah, but go away please. Talk about aggravation. My bf said: Sorry but you picked a wrong time to fall sick! Indeed.

So hope you like this Ayame pic dedicated to Tenchu fans (after bearing with my complaining). This post was meant to be just a paragraph long but guess I remembered some stuff now. A nice thing I do have to say is that the background is from a photo I took at Huntington Gardens. Their Japanese garden is quite pretty and I wanted Ayame to show her more serene side! The next time she's drawn, she will be back with blades.
